
Holding down the slingshot button allows Ary to aim. The slingshot allows Ary to launch pebbles to strike things or enemies from a distance. She starts out with Flynn's Sword, but there are multiple options for this type of weapon, including a stick. Melee weapons allow Ary to attack enemies that are up close. This power has to be charged up by attacking enemies and goes down by being struck.

Solstice powers allow Ary to harness the power of the seasons in order to defend herself from enemies.

The damage a counter attack does can also be increased by purchasing a Counter Attack Upgrade from Sensei Remi. The parry animation takes time to finish, however, and does put Ary in a vulnerable state if the input is put in when a parry cannot be enacted. Parrying protects Ary from damage, as well as temporarily slows time down for the player, allowing them to follow up the parry with a counter attack, which is wide and will effect all enemies within its range. She may also parry an enemy's attack, if the parry button is pressed while a glowing "parry" effect is present during the enemy's attack. The amount of damage Ary's normal attacks do can be increased by purchasing the Attack Upgrade from Sensei Remi. Upon receiving the Medallion, she is able to cast much larger seasonal spheres. At the beginning of the game, Ary is only able to use her father's Winter Crystal to cast small spheres of Winter. With the power of the Season Crystals, Ary is able to cast a seasonal sphere within which a specific season will be summoned. Pressing the sprint button while Ary is already sprinting will allow Ary to dash, which will propel her forward. Pressing the button once while not already sprinting will cause her to sprint for a short period of time. Holding down the sprint button will cause Ary to increase the speed in which she is running. Obtaining the Pegasus Boots either from the Waterfall Ruins or from Merchant Chanley will allow Ary to jump a second time in the air upon a second jump input. Holding down the jump button will not effect her upward momentum. Pressing the jump button allows Ary to jump into the air.

Ary has a wide collection of abilities that allow her to traverse the world, as well as effect the environment she is in.
